Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Eleanor played in swamps and ran after wild animals. That passion melded into writing about nature and wildlife. Although she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, destiny turned her world around. She moved to Italy, where she earned a BS in Environmental Sciences and Territorial Management. Eleanor lives in Italy with her husband and six cats and still chases after animals.  You can find her cutting steel bars in her family-run machine shop when she's not writing or doodling. She is a member of SCBWI, 12x12, and a Children's Book Academy graduate.
