Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan is an award-winning voice-over artist, poet, editor, and author of a dozen works of fiction and nonfiction. She is also a former non-profit development professional who spent two decades as an advocate and fundraiser for persons with disabilities. She won the 68th National Film Awards in India for Best Narration Voiceover for the film Rhapsody of Rains- Monsoons of Kerala in 2022.
Shobha has published children’s books in India and the United States, including the award-winning Indi-Alphabet (Mango and Marigold), How Many Lines in a Limerick? Poetic Forms and Literary Terms for Kids of All Ages (Spork/Clearfork Publishing) Prince with a Paintbrush: The Story of Raja Ravi Varma (Red Panda/Westland), It’s Time to Rhyme (Aleph), Parvati the Elephant’s Very Important Day (Harper Collins) and A Treasure Trove of Timeless Tales (Red Panda/Westland). Her first book for adults, Good Innings (Penguin) was released on Mother's day, 2022 and is being translated into Malayalam.
Shobha’s love of words and stories began in childhood, with storytelling sessions and word play with her siblings. When she is not traveling in search of stories, Shobha lives in Campbell, California, with her husband.
